At its meeting on Thursday, May 14, the Sweet Springs R-7 School Board approved a cooperative sports agreement.
According to unofficial minutes from the meeting, the agreement is with the Malta Bend R-5 School District for junior high football and volleyball; and for football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, baseball and softball on the high school level.
In other news, the board approved the resignations of Sherrie Heaper and Brenda Wulff due to retirement at the conclusion of this school year, which was May 15.
The board also approved Tonya Winfrey for summer maintenance and Randy Bredehoeft for substitute summer mowing beginning on Monday, May 18.
In addition, the board approved Kelley Weber as A+/SIS Coordinator and Bredehoeft as Transportation Director for the 2020-21 school year.
Also, the board approved the financial report with the amendment of the amounts for Johnny Rotolo, Tracy Crumbaugh, Tyler Frerking and Haylea Smith for $525; and the difference of $3,991.20 to be divided equally between 20 senior trip student attendees.
