An Armstrong man was killed in a two-vehicle traffic crash in Howard County on Monday.
According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred as a southbound vehicle, driven by 30-year-old Ethan Fuemmeler, crossed the center line into the path of a northbound vehicle, driven by 62-year-old Philip Dicus, of Salisbury. Dicus tried to avoid Fuemmeler’s vehicle by exiting the right side of the roadway. But Fuemmeler’s vehicle exited the left side of the roadway and struck Dicus’ vehicle head-on.
Fuemmeler, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Howard County Coroner Frank Flaspohler at 9:30 p.m. Dicus was not injured.
The crash happened at 9:02 p.m. on Missouri Highway 5, two miles south of Missouri Highway 3.
