In addition to permission being given for the use of the circle drive at the Saline County Courthouse in Marshall for the Saline County Barbecue on Saturday, June 6, the county commission also approved several other dates for the use of courthouse grounds related to musical entertainment.
According to a release from the commission, commissioners signed off on:
— June 5- A Brass Quintet;
— June 11- A Small Polka Group;
— June 18- A Jazz Band;
— June 25- The Dixieland Band; and
— June 30- Practice for Municipal Band and Orchestra.
The first band concert has been approved for either July 2 or July 4.
