A Kansas City, Kansas, woman has been charged with a felony for allegedly making a purchase using another person’s account in Sedalia on January 28.
According to a probable-cause statement, a Menard’s employee said the suspect did not physically have a Menard’s card but punched in the number from memory for a purchase of $993.30. The card number punched in belonged to another woman in the state of California.
On March 12, the suspect made a similar purchase at Nebraska Furniture Mart in Kansas City. The employee of NFM reported the suspect used a fake Missouri I.D. and was arrested. Authorities also seized her phone. When detectives downloaded information from her phone, they found that the suspect had received a text message providing the victim’s personal information.
Dominika Nasha Gilliam has been charged with a Class D Felony for Stealing of $750 or More. Bond has been set at $7,500 cash or surety.
Gilliam’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
