Wendell W. Waller, age 77, of Nelson, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020.
A private funeral service for the family will be held at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, with military rites to follow. Burial will be at Missouri State Veterans’ Cemetery in Higginsville. There will be no visitation, but friends may call from 10:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Friday, May 29, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home, where face masks are required and social distancing will be observed.
Memorials are suggested to Missouri Valley College Rodeo Team, in care of Ken Mason, or to the Nelson Lion’s Club.

In addition to his wife, Jane; he is survived by two daughters, Wendy Ragan (Steve), of Nelson, and Amy Giffen (Phil), of rural Marshall; three grandchildren: Derek Giffen (Kylee), Quinlan Giffen and August Giffen; one great-grandson, Jack Giffen; three sisters: Marge Redmond, of Lohman, Wanda Smith, of Nelson, and Doris Root, of rural Blackwater; two brothers, Elwood Waller and Gary Waller, of Nelson; as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Ellsworth Waller and Rose Martha Gramlich Waller; one brother, Harold Waller; and one sister, Allison Smith.
