Increasing by another 200 on Wednesday, May 27, the total number of confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 is now approaching 12,500 in Missouri.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the total number of confirmed cases was 12,492- up from 12,291 on Tuesday, May 26.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased to 695 on Wednesday from 686 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive COVID-19 patients have recovered.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 28.
