A Sedalia man is facing a felony charge for allegedly assaulting a woman on May 15.
In a police report, the woman alleges Emmanuel A. Ward punched her in her face several times, choked her and pointed a gun at her and released the safety. Authorities viewed several text messages between the two persons after the alleged incident.
Ward has been charged with Class E Felonies for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree and Unlawful Use of a Weapon-Exhibiting. Bond has been set at $2,500 cash or surety.
Ward’s initial hearing is pending at Pettis County Circuit Court.
