City Council and School Board seats are being vied for during the Municipal Election.
In Marshall, there are two contested races for city council seats. In Ward 1, incumbent Ron Ott is being challenged by Leon Thompson. And Vernon Craig Thompson and Phesa Wright are vying for the open seat in Ward 4 that was vacated by Kathy Vasquez when she moved out of the ward earlier this year.
Running unopposed are Ward 2 and 3 incumbents Kirk Arends and Dan Brandt, respectively.
Seven candidates are seeking three seats on the Marshall School Board. On the ballot are incumbents Kathy Green, Brad Guthrey and Tim Schulte, as well as Ellen Lance, Christy Lea Varner, Matthew J. Smith and Roger Blakely.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 2.
