At the meeting of the Saline County Commission on Tuesday, June 2, Presiding Commissioner Kile Guthrey Jr. said responses from small businesses in the county for CARES Act reimbursement funding have been a bit slow.

Guthrey continued, with some input from Emergency Management Agency Director Tony Day.

Northern District Commissioner Stephanie Gooden said the commission wants to distribute the funds.

Guthrey also announced the county is moving on to Phase II for the CARES Act funding. This phase will focus on health/emergency services, nursing homes and public health.
