A Stover resident has been charged with a felony for allegedly burglarizing a home in Otterville on Tuesday, June 2.
According to a police report, an officer was dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress on North Olive. En route, the officer noticed a suspect fitting the description of the suspect who had fled the home, and he was taken into custody without incident.
The reporting party told authorities he was in the shower, and when he came out, Dustin Eugene Galloway was standing in his kitchen. The victim yelled at Galloway, and Galloway fled. The victim and his girlfriend said they did not give consent for Galloway to be in the house. The victim reported two $100 bills were missing out his wallet.
Galloway has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree and a misdemeanor for stealing. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Galloway’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
