The USDA Farm Service Agency will host a series of webinars on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for the next couple of weeks, to discuss what producers should know to sign up for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP). There will be $16 billion available in financial assistance to producers of agricultural commodities who have suffered a five-percent-or-greater price decline due to COVID-19 and who face additional significant marketing costs as a result of lower demand, surplus production, and disruptions to shipping patterns and the orderly marketing of commodities.
In addition to hearing from CFAP National Program Specialists, webinar participants will also learn more about the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) process for submitting additional commodities for consideration to USDA for CFAP eligibility.
