A 26-year-old Marceline man drowned on Sunday.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Jacob Sprague was suffering from heat exhaustion, apparently entered the pond to cool off and later was found face down in the pond.
The incident- reported at 2:30 p.m.- happened at a private pond two miles northeast of Laclede.
