A Sedalia man has been charged with a drug-related felony after a reported incident on Monday, June 8, in Cooper County.
A Cooper County Deputy’s report says authorities were dispatched to the area of Wildlife Road and Northbridge in Otterville in reference to a physical disturbance. En route, deputies were advised the suspect, later identified as Marcos Achiquen-Aleman was possibly under the influence of narcotics and asking people to kill him and fight him.
Upon arrival, deputies located Achiquen-Aleman lying on his back on the bank of the Lamine River. He was placed in handcuffs and escorted to the patrol vehicle. Achiquen-Aleman was rambling incoherently and had slurred speech and told deputies he had taken acid. Achiquen-Aleman also said the acid was inside his vehicle and wallet. During a vehicle search, deputies located a small tinfoil square, which contained 10 small stamp-like squares with pictures on both sides. The deputy says they fit the description of an LSD-type drug.
Another person on the scene told deputies Achiquen-Aleman had consumed approximately six of the tablets. Also, while being checked, Achiquen-Aleman spit on the chest of a medic on the scene.
Achiquen-Aleman has been charged with a Class D Felony for Possession of a Controlled Substance and a misdemeanor for assault of a special victim. Bond has been set at $10,000 cash or surety.
Achiquen-Aleman’s initial hearing is pending at Cooper County Circuit Court.
