The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating an officer involved shooting that killed a Sedalia woman Saturday night.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Andy Bell says the incident occurred around 10 p.m. The initial reason for the traffic stop was for speeding and C&I on Thompson Boulevard. The suspect allegedly ran a traffic light at Broadway & Thompson, then continued traveling as the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle. The suspect finally pulled off the highway into a secluded location.

The woman has been identified as 25-year-old Hannah R. Fizer. The Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control investigators were requested to respond to the scene. This is an ongoing investigation.
