The city of Slater will sponsor a Rabies Clinic Thursday, July 2nd at 2 p.m. at the Slater Youth Center. According to Slater Animal Control Officer Joe Cordray, rabies vaccines will be given to dogs and cats for 20 dollars. City tags will also be available at the same time, at a cost of $10 for fixed dogs and cats and $65 for non-spade or non-neutered dogs or cats.
The rabies clinic is open to any area residents. The rabies shots will be be administered by Michelle Turner of the Saline County Vet Clinic. Slater Animal Control Officer Cordray said social distancing will be practiced at the Rabies Clinic.
Anyone wishing to make donations to the Slater Animal Shelter may do so at the event. Some items needed at the Shelter are dog food and cat food, clay cat litter, toys and beds. They are also in need of a window air conditioner
