The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred when a southbound vehicle driven by 17-year-old William Brinkley, of Warrensburg, was struck by the northbound vehicle driven by 19-year-old Sklyer Smith, also of Warrensburg. According to the report Brinkley traveled into the path of Smith as he attempted to make a left hand turn onto Southeast 125 Road when the vehicles collided on Highway 13.
Smith was transported by Johnson County Ambulance to Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg for treatment of moderate injuries.
The crash happened just after 3:30 p.m. on Business Highway 13 at Southeast 125 Road in Johnson County.
