On Friday, the Lafayette County Health Department reported there have been no new confirmed cases of COVID-19 since Monday.
The number of active cases in Lafayette County remains at 86 with 11 active cases remaining. There are now 72 persons that have been released from observation and there have been a total of three deaths related to the virus.
All individuals are encouraged to continue following social distancing recommendations. Taking extra precautions to protect themselves and others when social distancing is the way to stay smart and safe.
Businesses, agencies and institutions, particularly those with high-risk and special populations may implement additional safety measures. This can help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to protect employees, patrons and those entering the establishment.
