Residents in the city of Marshall will be able to shoot fireworks inside the city limits this year.

According to the City Fireworks Ordinance, Consumer Fireworks can be discharged inside the city lim its of Marshall on July 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Although fireworks can be discharged inside the city limits, there are a few stipulations.
Fireworks cannot be possessed or discharged on public land or in any public park, owned by the City. They cannot be shot off within six-hundred feet of any church, hospital, mental health facility or school, or within three-hundred feet of any permanent storage of ignitable liquid, gasses, gasoline pump, or filling station. The ordinance also prohibits the ignition, explosion or discharge of fireworks from or into any motorized vehicle, or at or near any person or group of people.
