The last positive case of COVID-19 in Lafayette County was reported last week on June 15.
The Lafayette County Health Department has confirmed a total of 86 cases of COVID-19 in Lafayette County to date. The number persons that have been released from observation has increased to 73. There are 10 active cases remaining. We have a total of 3 deaths, reported previously.
All individuals are encouraged to continue following social distancing recommendations, taking extra precautions to protect themselves and others when social distancing is not possible.
Businesses, agencies and institutions, particularly those with high-risk and special populations may implement additional safety measures. This can help mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to protect employees, patrons and those entering the establishment.
