Many area communities continue to see the number of COVID-19 cases increase slowly and there are some communities that have not seen a new case reported for over a week.
SALINE COUNTY
No changes in COVID-19 numbers in Saline County on Thursday.
According to the Saline County Health Department, there were no changes to the numbers on Wednesday. The total number of confirmed cases of the virus remains at 286 with 270 persons now released from observation. There are 12 active cases, one person remains hospitalized and there have been a total of four deaths related to the virus in Saline County.
CARROLL COUNTY
According to the Carroll County Health Department there were no new positive cases of COVID-19 reported following the community testing event that took place on June 17.
The total number of confirmed cases of the virus in Carroll County stands at 11 with only one case still active.
CHARITON COUNTY
The community testing for COVID-19 held at the Keytesville School on June 17, had a total of 41 participants. Out of the 41 tested for COVID-19, two were positive and they were NOT from Chariton County.
All five cases of the virus that had been reported in Chariton County have been released from observation. There are currently no active cases of the virus in the county.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY
After not having any new cases of COVID-19 reported since Monday, June 15, there have been two new cases of COVID-19 reported in Lafayette County since Wednesday, June 24.
The Lafayette County Health Department has confirmed a total of 88 cases of COVID-19 in Lafayette County to date. The number persons that have been released from observation has increased to 77. There are 8 active cases remaining and there have been a total of three deaths related to the virus.
HOWARD COUNTY
The Howard County Health Department reported two new cases of COVID-19 this week.
As of Monday, June 24 there has been a total number of five cases of the virus reported with three of those persons released from observation and two cases remain active.
JOHNSON COUNTY
There are currently 88 total cases of COVID-19 in Johnson County. As of Friday, June 26 there are nine active cases with 79 persons who have been released from observation.
PETTIS COUNTY
The Pettis County Health Department has reported one new case of COVID-19 on Thursday, June 25.
To date, there are now 111 cases of the virus in the county with 23 active. There number of persons who have been released from observation remains at 87 and one person remains hospitalized due to the virus.
Cases are being reported from various parts of the county. Social Distancing and wearing masks continues to be important.
COOPER COUNTY
The Cooper County Health Department has reported a total 0f 12 positive cases of COVID-19 in the county. To date, there are four active cases and eight persons have been released from observation.
