Katherine Carroll Garrard Lewis, age 97, of Marshall, died Saturday, July 4, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 9, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall, where visitation begins at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Social distancing will be observed at all services, and wearing a mask is strongly encouraged.

Survivors include her three sons, J. Kenneth Lewis (Jane), of rural Marshall, James L. Lewis (Kerry), of Lebanon, and David C. Lewis, of Columbia; three daughters, Katherine J. Bell (Lynn), of Camdenton., Sarah F. Lathrop (Jack), of Nevada, and Mary Ann Todd, of Chicago, IL.; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James W. and Ruby Akers Garrard; her husband, Francis “Leonard” Lewis; her brother, the Reverend James Walton Garrard IV, and her dear Aunt Melba “Nanta” Akers.
