A 47-year-old Fayette resident who is facing a felony charge relating to an alleged incident on March 4 is due in court this week.
According to a probable-cause statement, a woman alleges Santana Graves had been drinking, got mad at her and hit her with a closed fist in the eye.
Upon arrival, authorities say the woman was holding a towel, with a significant amount of blood on it, to her head. Authorities say the woman had two large gashes on her left eyelid; and her eye was swollen shut and blue/purple/red in color. An ambulance transported the woman to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
Graves has been charged with a Class E Felony for Domestic Assault in the Third Degree. Bond has been fixed at $100,000 cash only.
Graves’ preliminary hearing is scheduled to held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, July 7, at Howard County Circuit Court.
