Only one new case of COVID-19 has been reported in Lafayette County on Tuesday.
Lafayette County Health Department has a confirmed total of 101 cases of the virus in the county. There are currently 18 active cases. The number of individuals who have been released from observation stands at 80 and there have been a total of three deaths related to the virus, that were previously reported.
According to Lafayette County Health Department Director, Tom Emerson, daily total cases in Missouri have already been increasing and now in Lafayette County have increased this week. Lafayette County is seeing a community spread from work situations and social gatherings.
It’s important to remember that the virus is still prevalent. It is up to us all to take personal responsibility and protect each other. Please use your masks in public in situations where you cannot maintain a 6 foot distance from other people.
