An area courthouse will remain open.
According to a release from Carroll County Presiding Commissioner Stan Falke, after careful consideration of the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Carroll County, the county commissioners have decided that a safe environment can be maintained inside the courthouse. Therefore, the courthouse will remain open with all offices offering full services.
Entry and exit will be restricted to the north door only, with mandatory screening of all those entering, as well as employees screened daily. In addition, the courthouse has purchased Coronavirus test kits (administered by personnel from the Carroll County Health Department) to test practically all courthouse employees. These kits remain available to continuously monitor the employees, if they so choose.
It is the commission’s goal to safely and professionally serve the citizens of Carroll County and will make every attempt to continue to do so.
