Despite opening a little more than seven weeks later than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was a successful beginning to the season for the Marshall Aquatic Center on Monday, July 13, according to Marshall Parks and Recreation Director Chad Unterreiner.
Unterreiner says more than 60 people attended each of two sessions on opening day.
Unterreiner explains the cleaning of the facility between sessions went well.
Unterreiner says the biggest adjustment is the aquatic center now having sessions six of seven days each week.
Unterreiner says the hours for the sessions from Thursdays through Tuesdays are 1 to 3:30 p.m. and from 4:30 to 7 p.m. He says the pool will be open for only one session from 1 to 4 p.m. on Wednesdays. There is a charge for each session.
