The total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the state of Missouri soared past 28,000 on Tuesday, July 14.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, between 2 p.m. on Monday, July 13, and 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, the total increased by more than 900 from 27,890 to 28,826.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased from 1,083 on Monday to 1,093 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many patients have recovered.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15.
