A reward is being offered for information leading to the location of a person or persons in a property-vandalism incident.
A news release says Pettis County Crime Stoppers is requesting any information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in the intentional damage to the Dough Boy Statute on the Pettis County Court House lawn.
On July 6, the “Spirit of American Doughboy Statue” was found to have been vandalized over the Independence Day holiday weekend. The cost of damage to the statue is estimated to be in excess of $100,000.
The Pettis County Sheriff’s Office has located nearby surveillance camera footage of the suspect vehicle- a white four-door sedan with a sunroof and is missing part of its rear bumper.
Pettis County Crime Stoppers is offering a $3,000 cash reward for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this crime.
