A 36-year-old Glasgow woman is facing felony charges in both Howard and Boone counties after an incident last month.
According to the probable cause statement, at approximately 7:39 p.m. on June 16 the Centralia Police Department requested the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol to investigate a possible motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian.  The investigation revealed that 74-year-old Sharon Uebinger of Centralia was out walking her dog in the grassy area in the 1000 block of Lakeview in Centralia when she was struck by  a vehicle that had traveled off the south side of the roadway. Witnesses told authorities that the driver made a U-turn after she hit Uebinger and ran off the road again before leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.
Shortly after the driver left the scene of the crash, one of the witnesses located the 2005 Honda, driven by Amy Renee Rievley, stopped for a train. The witness took a picture of the back of the vehicle, bearing Texas plates, and then approached the vehicle, opened the door and unsuccessfully attempted to remove the keys before Rievley drove off. The witness gave a physical description of the driver that positively matched that of Rievley.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol was advised that Uebinger had serious injuries that appeared to be life threatening. According to the Centralia Police Department, the victim’s right arm was nearly amputated and her left leg had a compound fracture. Uebinger later died from her injuries.
Just after 10 p.m. on June 16, a deputy with the Howard County Sheriff’s Department located the vehicle driven by Rievley and initiated a traffic stop. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was notified and once on the scene the Trooper observed damage to the front right side of the vehicle that appeared to have fresh blood and skin in the damaged area that Rievley claimed was from a deer she had hit two weeks prior. She admitted to being in the Centralia area but denied being involved in an accident. Rievley was taken into custody and transported to the Boone County Jail.
In Howard County, Rievley is charged with a Class C Felony for Counterfeiting after the Missouri State Highway Patrol located 29 counterfeit $100 bills in her vehicle during this traffic stop. Her initial hearing is pending at Howard County Circuit Court.
Rievley is charged with a Class A Felony for Murder in the Second Degree, a Class C Felony for DWI Resulting in the Death of Another and a Class D Felony for Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Death. Due to the severity of the charges, Rievley continues to be held without bail.
Her initial court appearance was held on June 17. A Preliminary Hearing in this case is set to be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20 at Boone County Circuit Court.
