Two Hale residents suffered injuries in a crash involving two all-terrain vehicles in Carroll County on Thursday.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred when a northbound ATV, driven by 22-year-old Quinton Johnson, of Hale, came to a stop along the roadside and was struck in the rear by another northbound ATV, driven by 25-year-old Vincent Mathews. Both ATVs left the scene after the crash occurred.
While Johnson, who was wearing a safety device, was not injured, Mathews and a passenger on his ATV- 26-year-old Jacquline Orr, suffered moderate and serious injuries, respectively. The injured persons, who were not wearing safety devices, were flown by Life Flight Eagle Air Ambulances to Truman Medical Center and Resaerch Medical Center for treatment.
The crash happened at 9 p.m. on County Road 361, one-quarter of a mile south of County Road 140.
