A 31-year-old Marshall man accused of being the suspect in a shooting incident last year in Cooper County has a had his case continued until next month
According to Boonville Police, on May 15, 2019, two persons were transported from the Harley Park area to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment of gunshot wounds; and Derrick Anthony Young was arrested and charged the next day.
Young, has been charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree; a Class A Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains at $500,000 cash or surety.
After Young entered multiple not guilty pleas last year, his case has been continued numerous times, His next hearing is scheduled to be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 10th, at Cooper County Circuit Court.
