The Missouri Department of Transportation is scheduled to be making roadway improvements on a pair of I-70 ramps this week in Cooper County.
MODOT says the pavement repairs are set to take place on the eastbound ramps at the I-70 interchange with Highway 135. Beginning Wednesday, July 22, crews expect to begin work on both the on- and off-ramps near Boonville.
This work will require daytime ramp closures. Message boards will be in place to notify motorists, who will need to seek alternate routes. Crews expect to complete this phase of the project by Friday, July 24.
The ramp improvements are part of a larger project to expand shoulders and improve driving surfaces on Highways 135 and 98. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
