Michelle Pointer, association executive for the Central Missouri Board of Realtors, was at the meeting of the Marshall City Council on Monday, July 20, and talked about a grant regarding transforming neighborhoods. She said work was put in and letters from city officials helped the cause.

Pointer said they opted for the technical-assistance grant for up to $20,000.

Pointer said she was notified on July 6 the grant was approved. She said a ZOOM meeting that will include Mayor Julie Schwetz and City Administrator David Haugland will be held on July 23.

Pointer said they may end up going the next step for the $35,000 grant.
