COVID-19 is not isolated to one community.
The Chariton County Health Center reported one new positive case of the virus on Wednesday. This makes a total of 13 COVID-19 cases in the county with four active cases and nine recoveries. According to the Health Center, no further information will be provided about these individuals by the Chariton County Health Center.
The Chariton County Health Center will be working on contact tracing using the CDC guidelines to identify anyone who may have come into contact with the individual while they were infectious. Those contacts will be asked to self-quarantine for 14 days, and will be monitored for fever, respiratory issues and other symptoms of COVID-19.
