Up by another 1,200-plus, the state’s positive-case count of COVID-19 surpassed 36,000 on Wednesday, July 22.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number increased by 1,241 from 34,762 on Tuesday, July 21, to 36,003 on Wednesday.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by 16 from 1,143 on Tuesday to 1,159 on Wednesday. However, DHSS does not report how many patients have recovered.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 23.
