Increasing by nearly 1,700 on Thursday, July 23, the total number of COVID-19 cases has jumped past 37,000 in the state since the beginning of the pandemic.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number increased by 1,697 from 36,003 on Wednesday, July 22, to 37,700 on Thursday.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths surged up 20 from 1,159 on Wednesday to 1,179 on Thursday.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 24.
