The total number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to spike by at least four digits daily in the state of Missouri.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number increased by 1,652 from 37,700 on Thursday, July 23, to 39,352 on Friday, July 24.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths is 1,178 since the beginning of the pandemic.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25.
