The total number of positive COVID-19 cases jumped by more than 2,500 from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, July 26, in the state of Missouri.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m. on Sunday, the total number increased by 2,575 from 39,352 on Friday to 41,927 on Sunday.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased from 1,178 on Friday to 1,197 on Sunday.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Monday, July 27.
