The total number of positive COVID-19 cases is rapidly approaching 45,000 in Missouri.
According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, as of 2 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, the total number increased by 1,773 from 43,050 on Monday, July 27, to 44,823.
The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased from 1,201 on Monday to 1,213 on Tuesday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.
DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29.
