UPDATE AT 7:25 A.M. ON FRIDAY, JULY 31- THE MISSOURI STATE HIGHWAY PATROL SAYS THE ENDANGERED SILVER ADVISORY HAS BEEN CANCELED. JOHNSON HAS BEEN LOCATED SAFE.
The Lee’s Summit Police Department has issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory.
A news release from the Missouri State Highway Patrol says the advisory was issued for a missing adult incident that occurred at 920 NW High Point Drive in Lee’s Summit at 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.
The missing adult is 83-year-old Jerry T. Johnson, a white male, who is 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds, with gray hair and hazel-colored eyes. He was last seen wearing a long-sleeved brown and green flannel shirt, tan shorts and brown loafers.
Johnson, who has been diagnosed with dementia and Alzheimer’s, requires daily blood-pressure medication and takes other neurological medications. Johnson also does not have his wallet nor phone and may be headed to Joplin.
Johnson is in a dark gray 2016 Jeep Wrangler bearing MO license plate XB1 X9M.
Anyone seeing the missing person or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person, should immediately dial 9-1-1 to contact the nearest law-enforcement agency or call the Lee’s Summit Police Department at (816) 200-3854.
