Up by just over 1,500 in the past two days, the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in the state is now more than 51,800 in the state.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases is now 51,840- up from 50,323- on Friday, July 31.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased by 10 from 1,243 on Friday to 1,253 on Sunday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m on Monday, August 3.
