Roadway maintenance and repair that was scheduled to begin at noon on Tuesday, August 4, in Pettis County has been postponed.
The work on North State Fair Boulevard- between West Main Street and Pro-Energy Boulevard- in Sedalia has been rescheduled to next week. The work is scheduled to reduce a section of the roadway to one lane.
The city says it was contacted by Pro-Energy that it will need access to the gate that will be blocked by this road construction on Tuesday, August 4, so the city has delayed the road work until Tuesday and Wednesday, August 11 and 12.
During the work, trucks and other wide or long loads are encouraged to find alternate routes, as flagmen and heavy equipment will be present within the construction zone and delays are expected.
To allow for repaving, this same section of roadway will be closed between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, to all traffic. Other drives into businesses will remain open; however, access will be restricted to one direction. Drivers will need to find alternate routes during this time as the road will be closed to all traffic.
