Earlier this year, Pettis County was awarded $4,967,210 from the CARES Act for the county commission to distribute to businesses and entities adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to minutes from the meeting of the Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force on Monday, August 3, the county has reviewed 32 applications and allocated $227,289.82.

Twenty-three applications have been approved fully, six have been approved for partial reimbursement and three have been rejected due to not meeting guideline requirements.

In other news from the meeting, the Circuit Clerk/ Courts are now requiring masks be worn in the courtrooms and court-related areas of the Pettis County Courthouse in Sedalia.
