
Despite many big events being canceled in the state and around the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a 230-plus mile bike riding event is still scheduled to be held late next month.
According to a news release,“Big BAM on The Katy” is scheduled to start at noon on September 27 in Clinton with a shuttle for riders to Defiance. The actual ride- which will include two stops in the KMMO listening area- begins on September 28 in Defiance.
The trek will include a 65.3-mile ride to Hermann on the first day.
On September 29, a 46.5-mile trek will take riders from Hermann to Jefferson City.
Leg No. 3 on September 30 riders will go 51.1 miles from the Capital City to Boonville.
The ride continues for 37.6 miles from Boonville to Sedalia.
The route finishes with a 36.4-mile ride from Sedalia to Clinton on October 2.
