A Marshall man is facing a couple of felony charges after an incident on August 2.

According to a Marshall Police report, Forrest Ameral is alleged to have kicked in the door of a residence in the 500 block of West Summit Street and attempted to assault another person inside the master bathroom.

Ameral also allegedly attempted to escape the patrol vehicle; kicked a deputy; and attempted to cause the police officer to crash the car on two different occasions.

Ameral has been charged with a Class B Felony for Burglary in the First Degree; a Class E Felony for Resisting Arrest; and two misdemeanors. He currently is incarcerated at the Saline County Sheriff’s Department. Bond has been set at $20,000 cash only.

Ameral appeared and was arraigned on August 4. His next hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 12, at Saline County Circuit Court.
