The Saline County Health Department reports there were no new positive cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the county on Monday, August 11. However, most counties in the KMMO listening area saw a rise in cases.

According to health officials, in Saline County, the total positive case count remains at 431. With 383 recoveries (including three on Monday) and seven deaths, there are 41 active cases, including two hospitalized.

Pettis County saw the largest increase in positive cases of 41 since Friday, August 7. The total positive case count is up to 512. With 396 patients released to normal activities and four deaths, there are 112 active cases, including six hospitalized.

Increasing by four positive cases, the overall total is up to 142 in Cooper County. With 119 patients recovered and two deaths, there are 21 active cases in the county. Ten of the cases are travel-related, while 132 are through community transmission. Forty-four cases- which are included in the overall total- are through congregate living. Cases involving inmates and employees number 49. There also is one case in a nursing home or assisted-living center.

Three new positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed, bringing the overall total to 174 in Lafayette County. With 134 cases recovered and three deaths, there are currently 37 active cases.

In Howard County, three new positive cases were confirmed, bringing its overall total to 50. Including 44 recoveries, there are six active cases of the virus in the county.

One new positive case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Chariton County to make 22 total since the beginning of the pandemic. With 14 persons released from public health isolation, there are eight active cases.
