The total number of positive cases of COVID-19 increased by nearly 2,600 as of 2 p.m. on Monday, August 10, from the day before.

According to the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, the total number of positive cases was 59,954- up from 57,379 on Sunday, August 9.

The number of COVID-19-related deaths increased from 1,301 on Sunday to 1,307 on Monday. However, DHSS does not report how many positive patients have recovered.

DHSS expects the next update to take place at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11.
