An area health agency has changed its mind on a resolution regarding schools in the county.

Officials at the Lafayette County Health Department say the Resolution recommending to schools a start date of September 14 and to discontinue fall sports has been rescinded.

“Schools will be setting their own policies on reopening and extra-curricular activities using rules and guidance including some very well thought out Covid-19 prevention precautions from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Missouri State High School Activities Association.”
