Some roadwork is scheduled to take place in Cooper County next week.
A news release says a contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation is slated to begin resurfacing the entire length of Highway 98, east of Boonville, on Wednesday, August 19.
This work will require daily lane closures. Signs, flaggers and pilot vehicles will guide motorists through the work zone.
This work is part of a larger project to expand shoulders and improve driving surfaces on Highways 135 and 98 in Cooper and Pettis Counties. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
