A date has been set for a Jury Trial to begin in the case of a 31-year-old Marshall man facing felony charges following a shooting incident last year in Cooper County.

Derrick Young is alleged to have shot two persons in the Harley Park area on May 15, 2019. According to the Boonville Police Department both of the victims were transported to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.

Young is charged with two counts of a Class A Felony for Assault in the First Degree; a Class A Felony for Unlawful Use of a Weapon; and an Unclassified Felony for Armed Criminal Action. Bond remains at $500,000 cash or surety.

A Jury Trial is scheduled for 8 a.m. Monday, November 30 at Cooper County Circuit Court, with a Pre-Trial Conference scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 23.
