A Sedalia man sustained moderate injuries in a traffic crash Saturday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the crash happened when the vehicle driven by 53-year-old Richard Whitener traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a utility pole.

Whitener was transported to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia for treatment.

The crash occurred at 8:18 p.m. Saturday on Elm Hills Boulevard, just east of U.S. Highway 65 in Pettis County.
